The Ryder Cup
Paul Azinger's work as captain of the American team had a powerful impact on his players' state of mind. Zinger set up three groups of four players with compatible personalities, and had them practice together the way he planned to play them together. He got them ready to play, and they defeated a European team that was better on paper. Look at the cast of characters and you can see why Zinger's down-home pump them up, no fancy frills approach worked. Just ask Boo Weekley.
Uncharacteristically, the European team's top players didn't perform well. Padraig Harrington had been a bit off his game in recent weeks, Sergio wasn't feeling 100%, and Lee Westwood didn't make a charge. Those are the Euro's top players and account for a lot of points when they don't win.
Nick Faldo got his two picks to play well, Poulter especially. One can only wonder whether having Darren Clarke on the team would have given them the boost in energy that they needed to offset Azinger's "13th man," the energetic support of the fans.
The FEDEX Cup
Even with Camilo Villegas winning the final two legs of the Fedex Cup, including the limited-field Tour Championship, Vijay Singh waltzed off with the $10 million winner’s share of the series purse. Letting his talents shine through with a new putting attitude, Vijay ran away with a 5-stroke victory in Boston, virtually assuring him of the overall championship.
Cristie Kerr posted another impressive number (66) on Sunday at the Navistar LPGA Classic to reach a playoff with Lorena Ochoa and Candie Kung. Her recent stellar play has put her in 7th place in career LPGA earnings, moving past both Laura Davies and Beth Daniel in month of September. Cristie has been working with Dr. Joe since April.
“Received both audiobooks, and it will be my pleasure to tell everyone about ZEN GOLF. I have ALREADY been through 2 CD's and cannot wait to hear the rest. The customer service was above and beyond. It already has helped my game for I am learning to breathe and synchronize body and mind. It IS amazing."

"Zen Golf is an extremely well written and insightful book on mastering the mental side of golf. I have been so pleased with the information conveyed that I have bought several copies to share with golfing friends. The fascinating thing is, Dr. Parent's teachings transcend golf and you will find yourself applying his teachings to everyday life. I highly recommend this book for fellow golf fanatics who are looking for that something special to take them to the next level."
